Ashley Pearce, based in Vancouver, is the lead of the Canadian band, The Out Seer, recently headlining at the 2023 Penticton Ribfest. A graduate of Selkirk College’s Contemporary Music program, she’s performed with pop star Kiesza and studied with Rwandan artists like The Mighty Popo. Furthering her studies in Capilano University’s Jazz program, she played in an all-women’s big band led by Jill Townsend. A versatile artist, Ashley’s repertoire spans genres from jazz to heavy metal, and her guitar work is featured alongside talents like Baard Kolstad and Derek Sherinian. Earning her living through gigs, teaching, and managing Apricot Music Studios, she’s worked with Netflix and other companies while also serving as chair of Douglas College’s Music Technology Program. Inspired by guitar legends like Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix, Ashley’s unique sound combines rock influences with her own vocal style.

Whether it’s the beat to your all-time favorite song, or the big drum fill that starts that new album you’ve been obsessing over – his lessons are structured first and foremost around the songs YOU would like to hear and play! You will work together to craft your unique drumming identity, inspired by the music you enjoy most.
